The FTM-500-XDE is a VHF-UHF dual-band mobile transceiver with 144/430 MHz frequencies. This transceiver has APRS function and is part of Yaesu's FTM-500D series. C4FM Digital, providing clear voice quality and reliable communication. Additionally, this transceiver has numerous new features and improvements over previous models. The transceiver operates in three different digital modes, providing flexibility and options to suit your communication needs. It also includes an analog mode for those who prefer traditional communication. The FTM-500DE operates in three (3) digital modes and one (1) analog mode to suit your needs. This feature-packed radio is our first digital mobile equipped with the new Automatic Mode Select (AMS) feature that instantly detects the received signal mode.
