The FTM-150E enables true dual-band operation with two different receivers on different bands or within the same band (V+V, U+U, V+U, U+V). Its full-dot matrix display provides a clear, graphical display of the radio's operating status. The front panel is detachable, and with the optional SJMK-500 swivel head accessory, the angle can be flexibly adjusted to facilitate mobile operation.
Output power is selectable between 55W in VHF, 50W in UHF, 25W, or 5W. Its heavy-duty heat sink with FACC (Funnel Air Convection Conductor) technology ensures stable and reliable transmission power.
The front panel includes an integrated speaker, which, together with the main body speaker, provides a total of 6W of high-quality audio (3W: front speaker / 3W: body speaker). The body speaker's volume level is adjustable (0100%) relative to the front panel speaker, depending on user preference.
The Super-DX function increases the receiver's sensitivity and improves reception of weak signals. Activating the ASP (Audio Digital Signal Processing) function by adding the optional SPU-1 board in advance, with the Super-DX key, ensures reliable audio quality for weak signals, extending the communication range.
Some notable and convenient features of the FTM-150E include:
PMG (Primary Memory Group): Up to five VFO or memory channel frequencies can be assigned to the PMG. The reception status of the PMG channels is displayed in real time via a bar graph on the PMG screen. AUTO or MANUAL mode can be toggled by holding the Master VFO knob while operating the PMG. In AUTO mode, up to two channels are displayed simultaneously when receiving signals, and the transmission automatically moves to the received channel. In MANUAL mode, transmission and reception remain on the manually selected channel, while the signal received on the other channel is displayed and the audio can be heard.
CFL (Custom Function List): Up to 9 frequently used functions, selected from the 62 available menus, can be registered and easily selected for added convenience.

Que se puede decir de esta nueva maravilla de YAESU. Su construcción de calidad Premium, su esqueleto de aluminio y heredado de su hermana mayor la FTM-510D, su versatilidad, su eficiencia a prueba del experto más exigente, la facilidad de operación y su calidad inigualable ponen de manifiesto el nivel tecnológico que nos ofrece YAESU en esta bibanda.
Todo y que la curva de aprendizaje para una correcta operación es más que evidente, a las pruebas me remito cuando digo que una vez pasadas unas horas operando esta YAESU la sensación de control total sobre el dispositivo se hace patente.
Recomiendo esta YAESU FTM-150E ASP por el coste tan ajustado que tiene en un nivel tan competitivo como en el que se encuentra, donde la directa competencia todavía no ha sabido leer las necesidades de la comunidad de radioaficionados. Sin lugar a dudas esta bibanda dará mucho de que hablar durante muchos años. Totalmente recomendada.
