With the new Super-DX function evolving and adding the optional SPU-1 Audio Signal Processor (ASP) board. The FT-3185RASP delivers reliable performance with 85W transmit power. Its huge, fanless heat sink ensures a constant 85W of RF power transmission (selectable at 85W / 50W / 20W / 5W). The Super-DX function increases receiver sensitivity and improves reception of weak signals. In addition, when the Super-DX key is activated, the new ASP (Audio Signal Processor, OPTIONAL board SPU1) is also activated. The Super-DX together with the ASP guarantees reliable audio quality for weak signals and extends the communication range.
