We can highlight this Icom model's ability to transmit and receive in the D-STAR system and low-speed data communication.

The IC-E80D gives you the possibility to transmit the positioning data in case you have a GPS receiver connected (requires the HG-189GPS)

As if this were not enough, it complies with IPX4 regulations that approve it to receive splashes as long as the antenna and battery are mounted on the equipment.
