ICOM IC-R6

Although the Icom IC-R6 retains the basic characteristics of the ICOM IC-R5, it presents a new and improved design with new features.

The new Icom IC-R6 scanner has improved the tracking system (100ch / sec) also incorporating 1300 memory channels. The Icom IC-R6 has a reception capacity of approximately 15 continuous hours.

The receivers of the Icom IC-R6, in addition to operating in a wide band frequency range, and the design of its extremely high sensitivity radio stage, have characteristics in the receiver that make it insensitive to interference.

1300 memory channels with 22 banks

With 1300 alphanumeric memory channels, 50 scan ranges and 200 auto-recording memories, the Icom IC-R6 has a flexible scan system. By using the Linked Bank Scan feature you can select and connect to any of the 22 memory banks.

VSC (Voice Squelch Control)

The VSC opens the squelch only when a modulated signal is detected and ignores unmodulated beat noises. It is a characteristic for those listeners in search of conversations, music or news avoiding the data frames or radio beacons.

Multiple power options

The Icom IC-R6 can be powered by Ni-MH batteries, or alkaline batteries. Use the Icom IC-R6 with the BC-196S AC adapter or optionally with the CP-18 cigarette lighter cable.
When the BC-194 desktop charger is used with the AC adapter or cigarette lighter cable, you can easily charge Ni-MH batteries, while eliminating the need for
plugging the DC cable into the receiver's power connector.
