In spite of his reduced dimensions, with single 110mm ofheight, the IC-V85/E has a power of 7W and with the battery of high capacity (BP-227) it can operate during 7 hours (Tx: Rx: standby=1:1:8). Also it is possible to extend the time of operation if we used the way of reduced power output (4W/0.5W).

Its connector DC allows to use an external power supply (11.0V DC). The IC-V85/E can receive and transmit while it loads.
