COMMON INTERFACE

Some broadcasts are encrypted so that only paying subscribers can enjoy
them.
Encrypted services can only be viewed with a Conditional Access Module (CAM) and
a subscription to the decoder card belonging to the system. The common interface
(CI) is the slot of a digital receiver in which a conditional access module may be
inserted. The front of the digital receiver has two common interfaces.

A smart card reader: Allows access to pay TV cards.
Two readers CI: PCMCIA cards for conditional access.
USB Slot: Connecting to assistive devices. (Premium model has two USB slots. A
of them is in the front, the other is on the rear panel)
Main display: Display that shows the name of the current channel. While the receiver
is in standby mode, it displays the current time.
LED Indicator:
Blue - While the digital receiver is activated.
REC LED: Red - when recording a program.
HD channel LED: Green - when receiving a program in high definition (HD).
Button: Switches the digital receiver between standby mode and mode
operation. To reset the receiver, press this button for 3 seconds.
MENU button: Displays the details of the menu.
EXIT button: Exit the menus, EPG (Electronic Program Guide), and
information about the program.
Start Button: Displays the main menu.
Button VOLUME / -: Increase or decrease the volume.
CHANNEL button: Switch to previous or next service. Also used for
navigate the menu screens
OK / OK: To accept the selection of a channel or to display the channels list

Power Switch: Press to turn on and off the receiver.
A / C Power input: Power supply: Connect the AC power cord to
turn on the digital receiver.
HDMI audio output and high definition video. Connect an HDMI cable quality.
LAN: port for local area network.
Two USB ports: Connects to support devices
0/12V: 0V or 12V output
S PDIF optical digital audio output and Dolby Digital stereo.
