For exceptional protection signals Incoming intense near their station, the unique Variable RF Filter (VRF) manufactured by Yaesu acts as a high performance preselector, ideal for competitions where various operators involved. Because the filter is tuned by hand, the operator can optimize the sensitivity or signal suppression with simply turning a knob.
The magnificent receiver characteristics derive from its direct relationship with the legendary FTDX900 transceivers, FT- 1000D and FT-1000MP. You can select the input section of the OFV Intercept Point Optimization, plus one to three levels of RF attenuation in 6 dB steps. The IPO configuration allows direct feed to the first mixer (VFO B has a single regulation IPO), with two receivers built into each FTDX-5000 transceiver.
