The FT DX 5000MP HF/50 MHz 200 Watt Transceivers is a Premium Class of Yaesu radios with 2 Independent Receivers plus many unique options and accessories designed to meet the Performance Requirements of even the most demanding serious Amateur Radio operator.
The FT DX 5000 has been built on the basis of popular transceiver FT DX 9000, and it is a remarkable representative of traditional FT-1000 series. Delivers up to 200 watts of power output on SSB, CW and FM (50 watts with AM carrier) modes. The digital signal processing is used on the entire design, which offers the most advanced functional features both transmission and reception of the industry.
For an exceptional protection from strong incoming signals close to your station, the exclusive Variable RF Preselector (VRF) manufactured by Yaesu, acts as a high performance preselector, ideal for competences where different operators are involved. Because of the filter's manually tuned, the user can optimize sensitivity or signal suppression with the simple rotation of a knob.
Superb receiver features derive from its direct relationship with the legendary FT DX 9000, FT-10020 and FT-1000MP transceivers. You can select on the VFO input section the Order Intercept Point, plus from one to three levels of RF attenuation in 6 dB steps. IPO configuration allows direct feed to the first mixer (VFO B has a single IPO regulation), with two receivers incorporated into each FT DX 5000 transceiver. Both receivers, VFO A AND VFO B use filtering for digital signal processing known as DSP, as well as incorporating many of the features of FT DX 9000, such as Amplitude Variable Band, Shift off and Tuning Contours passband. The transceiver also features a Digital Noise Reduction and Automatic Notch Filtering, along with a filter Notch manual tuning. Secondary receiver, which is used to monitor the same band as the main receptor, for example, is ideal for watching both sides of a stack or to keep listening to a DX station that is communicating with other stations by call area.
In the transmitter selection, the exclusive Three bands Parametric EQ from Yaesu lets you set precise and flexible the waveform to complement your voice. The amplitude, center frequency and bandwidth of the microphone can be adjusted independently for the spectrum of low, medium and high audio frequencies being possible to define the bandwidth of the transmitted signal.
On the right side of the front panel, there are three special windows that display the VFO B frequency, in addition to the graphic representation of the parameters of the Digital Signal Processor for VFO A and VFO B. In the Menu mode, those windows exhibit programming parameters in order to facilitate their configuration.
On the rear panel of the transceiver, there are four antenna ports (two pairs TX and RX), plus a port exclusively intended for receiving a collector. The conjuncts on the front and rear panel are independently configured for the entry of a lever, the connection to a direct key or a manipulation interface through a computer. The transceiver also includes a Digital Voice Recording system and a Memory for Morse Code messages.
The Yaesu SM-5000 matching station monitor adds sophistication and new capabilities to the Yaesu FT DX 5000MP, lets you view a presentation of a segment of the band on the VFO of the receiver. The default bandwidth allows you to see the signs very clearly represented.
The SM-5000 has a stereo speaker system with an exceptional sound quality.
The SM-5000 frontal controls allow you to adjust the contrast and mute speakers. In addition, comes with a support to fix the SM-5000 to your Yaesu FT DX 5000.
