LEVEL ONE COMMUNICATIONS, AT HOME AND NOT
LCD control panel with separate speaker
The front of the station has amber lighting, and all keys are lit, being independent can be placed anywhere up to 4m from the main unit
TX / RX AF DSP
The digital signal processor 16-bit AF offers features like noise reduction, TX / RX equalizer filters and FAs.
Continuous RX
500kHz (VFO: 30kHz) to 60MHz TX covers all Amateur bands 1.8MHz to 50MHz
In addition to a compact and easy to transport, it incorporates a mounting bracket and the carriage of the station even more comfortable.
Among other characteristics described Quad mixer that provides RX dynamic range of the TS-950 class, PSK31 compatibility, packet group tuning (with TM-D700E), PC-based control and optional IF filters.
EXCELLENT POWER AND PERFORMANCE
RF Power Output High
RF Power Output High Featuring a double final section presenting combiner and splitter circuitry, the TS-480SAT provides 100 watts of RF output with a power supply 13.8V DC.
Separate Energy uent TS-100W 480SAT has two power terminals (DC1, DC2) for separate supply to each of the halves of the double final section. Thanks to this balance of power ensures a stable output. This provision allows the use of two energy sources PS-53 or a single power source 41A.
AF digital signal processing (Tx / Rx)
Thanks to a digital signal processor offers 16-bit double-precision arithmetic operations (equivalent to 32-bit processing), a 100MHz clock and converters A / D and D / A 16-bit, TS 480SAT offers many powerful features .
AF Filters
Tilt tuning can be used to remove unwanted noise signal by using high-cut filters and low-cut (SSB, FM and AM), while the width allows adjustment of the passband to avoid adjacent noise (CW / FSK .)
IF filters (options)
Optionally available for more intense operations of the CW narrow IF filters with bands of 500Hz and 270Hz (YF-107C, YF-107CN) and SSB narrow IF filter with 1.8kHz band (YF-107SN). Either of these IF filters can be installed inside the transceiver.
TX / RX equalizer
The equalizer offers flat setting (default), a great boost (2 types), Formant pass, bass boost (2 types), conventional and user separately for transmit and receive.
Configurable control program using the ARCP-480 radio.
Dual cooling fans
The team has twin fans to get perfect cooling.
Thanks to these and the front of the station is separated from the main unit, the fans can create an air flow from front to back. Thanks to this system may transmit continuously for about 30 minutes without having to disconnect
This figure is provided for reference purposes only and depends on there being an ambient temperature of 25 º C, antenna SWR of 1.2 or less and nothing to obstruct the flow of air generated by cooling fans.
IF filters (options)
A quad-mixer provides RX dynamic range equivalent to Class TS-950 (with 50 kHz separation).
The audio quality during transmission can be adjusted to suit by switching between two passband settings (500-2500Hz and the default 300-2700Hz).
This feature uses DSP to perform an automatic reset at a desired frequency during CW operations. It is also compatible with RIT.
CW Support
A full range of CW features, including automatic tuning. When in SSB mode, pressing a button will automatically switch to CW is very handy for 50MHz operations, especially when combined with slow crawl.
Another handy feature is the ability to record different messages for quick transmission during contests.
You can choose between listening between signals or semi full. For the first option, the delay time between key release and active receive mode can be set between 50ms and 1000ms in 50ms steps. Other CW features include separation control (400-1000Hz), the driver side tone volume adjustment 3 steps and an electronic switch, microphone paddle mode and CW reverse mode.
Noise Reduction
NR1 is a line enhanced filter with 10 levels of adjustment (including auto) very good to extract a desired signal. A good choice for CW operations is NR2 (SPAC), adjustable in 2ms increments (2 ~ 20ms). You can suppress noise at the same frequency as the desired signal, allowing you to extract a weak desired signal noise.
Digital noise limiter (DNL)
With three level settings, the DNL is highly effective at removing even the pulse noise that can not be eliminated with digital and analog circuitry noise suppressor. However, for extra clarity, can be used in conjunction with a noise suppressor, which removes pulse noise at the IF stage.
Voice Processor
Available for transmission SSB, FM and AM, the speech processor enhances the clarity of the messages to the receiving station. Can be finely adjusted levels of input / output (0 ~ 100).
Built-in automatic antenna tuner
The Automatic Antenna Tuner TS-480SAT with presets for quick band changes u2014% covers all amateur bands 1.8MHz to 54MHz.
Emphasis on portability
Emphasis on portability Outdoor use is facilitated by DC 13.8V operation and compact dimensions: the 3.2kg unit of measure 179mm (H) x 61mm (W) x 258mm (P), while the control panel 0.5kg has dimensions of 180mm (H) x 75mm (W) x 37mm (P).
Projections not included.
Memory Name function
It is possible a clear identification for the 100 memory channels with up to 8 alphanumeric characters each.
Multiple tracking features
Multiple scan functions Included among the many scan functions are in tracking programs, memory scan, group tracking, tracing slow, tracking and tracing CTCSS privacy codes.
| | LCD control panel with speaker independent
LCD control panel independently, presenting his own large 6.6cm speaker (2W max output) can be freely positioned at a distance of up to 4 meters from the main unit. The desktop panel support provided is practical to use the radio at home on a desk, while the mobile panel bracket is ideal for mounting in a car. The panel can be fitted in place or removed from a support instantly. It also features 34 keys, each with backlighting to enhance operating ease.
PC-based Control
PC-based Control Program ARCP control of radio-480 (downloadable for free from the Kenwood website) allows PC-based control of all transceiver functions, as well as custom EQ curves TX / RX
PSK31 compatible (SSB / FM)
The TS-480HX/SAT can connect directly to a computer for the increasingly popular PSK31 mode. It also offers the following features and practices:
-
Separate adjustment of the levels of input / output of AF (10 steps)
-
Choice of frequency (1000Hz or 1500Hz)
-
Bandwidth Adjustable AF DSP filter (7 steps)
-
CW narrow IF filters selectable (if fitted)
-
TX with VOX function (no need to control line PTT) PTT operation via the data terminal
Voice guide and storage unit (optional)
The voice guide and storage unit VGS-1 can have two important roles: vocal confirmation of frequency, function keys, etc. and recording / playback of messages received by the transceiver. You can register a total of 90 seconds (3 x 30 seconds) and stored in Flash ROM for playback and transmission. In addition, a convenient constant record function means you can always play the final 30 seconds of reception for confirmation.
