This product is a lightweight and durable transceiver. You can use it at sporting events to stay in touch with family and friends, skiing, hiking or outdoors, in order to stay connected at all times. This next-generation compact is equipped with numerous functions.

Package Contents

The package contains two transceivers TLKR T8, two belt clips, stand for charging, AC adapter, two latches for the battery holder, two rechargeable NiMH battery packs and this reference guide. The device operates on four AAA alkaline batteries (not included).

Battery Installation

T8 TLKR The transceiver uses the NiMH battery pack or four AAA alkaline batteries (not included). If using alkaline batteries, we recommend that they are top quality.

To install the NiMH battery pack:

1. Make sure the transceiver is unplugged.
2. Remove the battery compartment cover
clicking the tab at the bottom of it so that it can be extracted.
3. Install the NiMH batteries in the battery compartment. Do not forget to abide by the symbols + and% u2013 compartment. If you install the batteries incorrectly, the unit will not work.

4. Replace the battery compartment cover.

Battery level and low battery warning

The meter unit has a battery level on screen which indicates the battery status.

When the battery level is low, the level meter icon will flash. NiMH rechargeable batteries Recharge immediately.

Loading transceiver

If you use rechargeable NiMH battery, the T8 TLKR two transceivers can be loaded directly or through support for the load supplied.

Make sure the transceiver is off before putting it in the cradle for charging. Otherwise, the level meter indicates the battery is not the correct information.

Direct charging

1. Insert the power adapter into the DC input connector DC 9 V transceiver and connect the other end into a vehicle accessory power.

2. Charge the battery pack for 16 hours.

Charging by the support

1. Connect the AC adapter to one jack 9 V DC and a standard electrical outlet.

2. Install support for loading on a table or similar and place the transceiver in the charging cradle on the keypad forward.

3. Verify that the LEDs are lit.

Charge the battery pack for 16 hours and remove the radio from the bracket once the loading process.

Note: Charging LED indicators remain lit while transceivers are inthe magazine.

Battery Charge

You can charge the NiMH battery pack via the seals supplied battery holder.

1. Place the end of battery holder on the stand for charging.

2. Install the NiMH battery pack so that its charging contacts and charging cradle touch.

If you install the batteries incorrectly, it will not work.

3. Verify that the LEDs are lit.

Charge the battery pack for 16 hours.

Note: Charging LED indicators remain lit while the transceivers are in the magazine.

Using the transceiver

To maximize this new transceiver, read this reference guide completely before attempting to start the unit.

On the transceiver and adjust the volume

1. To turn the transceiver, turn the control knob to the right and just move to increase the volume. To decrease the volume, turn the knob clockwise.

2. To turn the transceiver, turn the knob to the end in the opposite direction clockwise.

Speech by the transceiver

To talk on the radio:
1. Hold the PTT key and speak in a voice clear and maintaining normal microphone 5 to 8 cm from your mouth. While transmitting, the icon appears on the screen. To avoid cutting the first part of the transmission, make a brief pause before pressing the PTT key to start talking.

2. When finished talking, release the PTT key.
Now you can receive incoming calls. While receiving, the icon appears on the screen.

Note: If you continue to transmit for 60 seconds, the radio emits transmission limiter tone and flashing icon. The transceiver stops transmitting.

Navigating the menu
To access the advanced features of TLKR T8, the transceiver has two types of menu functions.

1. To access the menu, press the MENU / GRP.
2. If you press the MENU / GRP more times, will advance through the menu until you exit the mode "Normal."

Channel Selection

The transceiver has 8 channels and 121 sub-codes that can be used to communicate with other users. To communicate with another user, both must be set the same channel and the same subcode.

To select a channel:

1. Access CH /. Indicator appears u201CCH% channel% u201D.
2. Click OK to go to the channel configuration.
3. Press the or key to increase or decrease the channel number displayed. If you hold the button or the channel number will increase or decrease gradually.
4. Click OK to confirm the setting.

Selection of a subcode

If you assign a subcode to the transceiver, reduce interference. However, do not forget that defined transceivers with different subcodes can not communicate. Each channel

1 to 8 can be one of the codes from 0 to 121.

2. Click OK to go to the adjustment of subcodes.
3. Press the or key to increase or decrease the number of subcode channel shown. If you hold the button or the channel number will increase or decrease gradually.
4. Click OK to confirm.

Dual Watch Mode

The transceiver can scan the current channel and another channel as an alternative. It is necessary to establish a number of the subcode channel to another channel.

To set another channel and start the Dual Watch:
1. Access CH /. Scroll through the menu selection to see% u201C2CH% u201D.

2. Click OK and then press or to activate the monitoring for the dual watch channel.

Press OK to specify the number of dual-channel listening.

3. Press to specify the second channel number, press OK and then press or to select the second channel. Press OK to confirm 4. Press to specify the second sub-code, press OK and then press or to select the subcode. Press OK again to confirm. Note: If you set the same channel and privacy code number in the channel, the dual watch mode will not work.

To deactivate Dual Watch:

Access CH /. Scroll through the menu selection to see% u201C2CH% u201D. Click OK, and then the button or turn off the dual watch mode.

Click OK to confirm.

Activation timer

You can use the transceiver as a stopwatch. Able to measure up to 60 minutes and 59 seconds.

Note: You may receive incoming signals when this mode is activated.

To use the stopwatch timer:

1. Press and hold CH / to display the stopwatch timer.

2. Press to start the stopwatch. If you press the key. If you press the key again, the timer is paused.

3. Press the button to reset the timer.

4. Press and hold CH / to exit the stopwatch timer.

Clock function

In T8 TLKR transceivers can use the clock function and use it to display the time in the transceivers.

When you configure the function of the time, will watch with the 24-hour standby.

To turn ON or OFF the clock:

1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until u201CCLOCK%% u201D. Click OK to configure the clock.
2. Press or to specify the time.
3. Click OK and go to adjust the minutes.
4. Press or to specify the minutes.
5. Click OK to confirm.

Channel Scan Function

T8 TLKR The transceiver features a channel scan feature that allows you to easily explore the eight channels. When the transceiver detects an active channel, will stop at that channel until it is free.

After two second pause (five seconds for VOX activation without headphones), the transceiver will continue the search. If you press the PTT key while the search is paused at the channel, transmit on that channel and five seconds after releasing PTT proceed with the search.

To turn ON channel scanning:
1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until "SCAN". Click OK, and then the button or to activate the search.
2. Click OK to start the channel search

For OFF channel scanning:
1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until "SCAN". Click OK and then:
Press or to disable the search.
2. Click OK to confirm.
Monitoring mode function
T8 TLKR transceiver lets you hear the weak signals
current channel by pressing the MON.
To turn the monitoring mode:
1. Access MENU / GRP. esplácese through the menu until

2. Channel monitoring will begin immediately.
To deactivate the monitoring:

Voice transmission
T8 TLKR The transceiver has a transmitter (VOX) selectable by the user who can utilizarsepara automated voice transmissions. The VOX feature is designed for use as a handsfree.
Transmission started to talk through the microphone of the transceiver or headphones (not included) instead of alPress the PTT key.

To select the VOX level:

1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until u201CVOX%% u201D. Press OK to select the VOX level settings in (L1...L5/Apagado). If set to Off, disables VOX, while levels 1 through 5 define the sensitivity of the VOX circuit.
2. Press or to select the desired VOX sensitivity level. Use the level 1 in a quiet environment, and 5 in the noisiest. You can determine the appropriate sensitivity level speaking into the microphone. If the icon blinks, your voice has been accepted.
3. Click OK to confirm.

Note: If you continue passing through the function

VOX for 60 seconds, the radio emits transmission limiter tone and blinking for 5 seconds.

Transmission of a ringtone
T8 TLKR The transceiver has 10 selectable ring tones to be transmitted when you press the / key.

1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until u201CRING%% u201D. Press OK to select the ring tone (1-10).

2. Press or to select the ringtones you want. Ring tones when you press the number of selected ring tone.

3. Click OK to confirm.

To transmit the selected call tone, press the / key. The tone will be transmitted automatically over a given period of time. The ring tone is canceled by pressing the PTT.

Vibration Mode (VIBE)

T8 TLKR The transceiver is equipped with a vibration option which will alert the user when an incoming transmission or a ringtone.

Vibration mode is disabled for 30 seconds to transmit, receive, or press any other button.

To turn the vibrate mode:

1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until u201CVIBE%% u201D. Click OK, and then the button or activate the vibrate mode.

2. Click OK to confirm. To deactivate the vibration:

1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until u201CVIBE%% u201D. Click OK, and then the button or turn off the vibration.

2. Click OK to confirm.

Silent (SLNT)

When you turn on silent mode, all incoming calls are muted: the transceiver taillight flashes to indicate an incoming call. If you do not answer the call, the backlight turns off and the call icon will flash until the signal is absent. Silent mode is not activated for 30 seconds to transmit, receive, or press any other button.

To turn the silence:

1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until "SLNT." Click OK, and then the button or to activate the silent mode.

2. Click OK to confirm.

To turn mute off:
1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until "SLNT." Click OK, and then the button or to activate the silent mode.

2. Click OK to confirm.

Key Tone

The transceiver beeps each time you press one of the keys (except the PTT).

To turn the keypad tone:

1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until "KEYS." Click OK, and then the button or turn the beep sound on the keyboard.

2. Click OK to confirm.
To Deactivate the pitch:

1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until "KEYS." Click OK and then thehighlighted or OFF the pitch.

2. Click OK to confirm.

PTT (Tone received message)

The Roger Beep is sent to notify the end of the transmission (PTT and VOX). The Roger Beep is heard through the speaker when Key Beep is on. Is transmitted even if Key Beep is turned off. However, Roger Beep not heard from the speaker.
To turn the beep PTT:
1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until PTT% u201C% u201D. Click OK, and then the button or to activate the PTT beep tone.
2. Click OK to confirm.
To turn off the PTT:
1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until PTT% u201C% u201D. Click OK and then the or key to deactivate the PTT.
2. Click OK to confirm.

Function auto power The transceiver has a unique circuit designed to maximize battery life. If there are no transfers or incoming calls for three seconds, the transceiver switches to energy savings. The transceiver can receive transmissions in this mode.

AutoShutdown
The sleep function allows you to set the time after which the transceiver is turned off automáticamente.1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until PWR% u201C% u201D. Click OK, and then the button or to select the sleep mode. The selection mode can be set as:

On, 1 hour, 2 hours or 3 hours.

2. Click OK to confirm.

Oversight function room

You can use one of the transceivers TLKR T8 as monitoring room and use the other transceiver to listen and check the voice from another room. In establishing the oversight function room, the monitoring transceiver detects voices and noises (depending on the sensitivity level set) and transmits altransceptor listening without having to press the PTT key. The transceiver of supervision can not recibirtransmisiones ng in this way.

To turn the monitoring of rooms:

1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until "ROOM". Click OK and then press or to select the room supervision to Off or one of the levels L1, L2, L3, L4 and L5.

2. Channel monitoring will begin monitoring inmediato.Para OFF rooms:

1. Access MENU / GRP. Scroll through the menu until "ROOM". Click OK and then press or to clear the room monitoring mode.

2. Click OK to confirm.

Note: - You can not press the PTT key when the room monitoring mode is activated. If done, the radio emits an error tone of PTT. - When the voice or noise from another room last longer than 60 seconds, the transceiver control supervisióndetiene for 5 seconds and resume activity.
